Super-charged Omega-3

KADO-3 is a supercharged Omega-3 stack derived from fish and krill oils, and it's designed for daily protection for brain and body. KADO-3 is optimized with an ultra high 2:1 ratio of DHA to EPA (which optimizes for cognitive benefit) and rounds out with three other essential components: Vitamin K, Astaxanthin, and Vitamin D. The first letter of each compound together form the name KADO-3.

Each bottle of KADO-3 contains one month's supply (60 capsules, two per day).

Certificate of Analysis: Each lot of KADO-3 is individually tested and validated for heavy metal, microbiological, and active ingredient content. View the current lot's CoA here.

Instructions

Take two softgels daily. We recommend taking KADO-3 with breakfast (or first meal of the day) daily to establish a consistent habit.

Because the effects of KADO-3 compound when taken habitually (like RISE), KADO-3 should be taken on a daily basis.

Nootropic Ingredients

KADO-3 is a unique fish oil + krill oil Omega-3 blend. Omega-3's are essential fatty acids. The two main forms are DHA, which is associated with cognition and EPA, which is associated with cardiovascular health. In KADO-3, we optimize for a high ratio of DHA to EPA. Astaxanthin is a potent anti-oxidant and there's a growing body of data for its neuro-protective and neuro-generative properties. The stack is rounded out with Vitamin D and Vitamin K2, both fat-soluble vitamins, which are two of the most deficient nutrients in modern diets.

KADO-3 is contained within a gelatin capsule. Other ingredients include glycerin & purified water for consistency, and peppermint oil. Kado-3 contains soy, anchovy & krill.

Omega-3

Typical Western diets contain an unbalanced ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3. Humans evolved on a diet with a ratio of approximately 1:1 and it's estimated that Western diets have a Omega-6 to Omega-3 ratio of 16:1. An excessive balance of Omega-6's appears to promote a number of common diseases and inflammations, whereas Omega-3's exert suppressive effects. Since the body does not naturally produce Omega-3's and the typical diet is deficient in Omega-3's, supplementation is advised.

The two Omega-3 fatty acids are DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid). DHA is typically associated with improved memory and attention, whereas EPA is typically associated with cardiovascular health. While both types are essential and beneficial, our research suggests a 2:1 ratio of DHA to EPA is optimal for cognitive benefits and overall health, and that is the ratio contained within KADO-3.

Because Vitamin D and Vitamin K are both fat-soluble, it's best to take these vitamins with fats, making Omega-3's an ideal substrate.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D has been shown to regulate the synthesis of neurotrophins and neurotransmitters, and Vitamin D is involved in a huge variety of neural processes at the molecular level. The natural source of Vitamin D production is sunlight, but more and more people spend more and more time indoors. Nearly 3 out of 4 Americans are Vitamin D deficient, especially students and professionals who spend most of their hours indoors. Vitamin D supplementation is therefore strongly recommended.

Astaxanthin

Astaxanthin is a naturally occurring carotenoid compound that is commonly found in seafood such as crabs, lobster, and shrimp, and in fact astaxanthin is what gives those creatures (and KADO-3) their distinctive red color. While the krill oil in KADO-3 contains astaxanthin naturally, we source additional astaxanthin for added effect.

With respect to cognition, astaxanthin has been shown to be useful for improving fatigue, attention and memory. Astaxanthin has various antioxidant and inflammatory effects which are beneficial for long-term health.

Vitamin K

Vitamin K is involved in important neural processes, and may have neuroprotective effects. Vitamin K plays an essential role in basic biological function including blood clotting and bone strength.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the source of KADO-3's Omega 3 fatty acids?

We source our Omega 3 oils from both krill and fish. We chose this blend to combine a high ratio DHA to EPA and the astaxanthin content that comes from krill.

Can I take KADO-3 with other Nootrobox products?

Yes. All Nootrobox products are designed to be compatible.

What other benefits does KADO-3 provide?

KADO-3 and RISE are both designed for daily use, although their effects and mechanisms of action are distinct. RISE is developed as the premier daily nootropic, specifically made to improve cognition when taken habitually. KADO-3 contains as its base a high quality Omega-3, an essential fatty acid which can only be obtained through diet (the body does not naturally produce Omega-3), as well as other components that are beneficial for health in general and cognition in particular.

How will I feel after taking KADO-3?

KADO-3 is designed for habitual daily use and maintaining peak cognitive performance is an active, consistent investment. Omega-3s increase brain activity, so a stimulatory effect may be felt after supplementation, but in general KADO-3 is not designed for acute, immediate effects like SPRINT or YAWN.

Is KADO-3 vegan / gluten-free / allergen-free?

KADO-3 is not vegan. KADO-3 contains no gluten. KADO-3 contains the following potential allergens: soy, anchovy & krill.

What other benefits does KADO-3 provide?

KADO-3 is designed not just for cognitive benefit. It is designed to supplement the diet and lifestyle of healthy, hardworking people for optimal performance on an ongoing basis. It targets commonplace dietary deficiencies as well as deficiencies caused by lack of exposure to sun.
